The New York Belly Dance Festival 2025 is thrilled to welcome the one and only Oscar Flores, a world-renowned dancer, choreographer, and teacher, to our lineup of master instructors. Born in Comodoro Rivadavia, Patagonia, Argentina, Oscar’s journey into the performing arts began in 1995, and since then, he has become one of the most celebrated figures in the global dance community.
Who is Oscar Flores?
Oscar’s love for performance was ignited during his early years in a youth theater company, where his creative talents flourished. By the late 1990s, he was writing, directing, and producing full-scale theatrical productions with over 100 dancers and actors. His passion for dance expanded as he trained in flamenco, Arabic dance, and the traditional dances of various cultures, developing a unique artistic identity.
In 2001, he founded his first dance school and ballet, Al Nadym, in Argentina. His dedication to dance excellence took him to Buenos Aires in 2003, where he studied with iconic teachers like Amir Thaleb and immersed himself in theater and musical comedy. Over the years, Oscar built a thriving career, opening OF Studio, directing prestigious dance companies, and performing on international stages across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
Beyond his performances, Oscar has established himself as a leader in dance education, founding online schools and directing major festivals such as ODM (Oriental Dance Meeting) in Spain and the National Oriental Dance Championship. His work continues to inspire dancers globally, blending artistic excellence with cultural authenticity.

Dive into the art of expression and theatricality in belly dance. Oscar will guide you through techniques to bring emotion, storytelling, and depth to your performances.
